Chocolate Cysts

Chocolate cysts, medically known as endometriomas, are ovarian cysts associated with endometriosis. They develop when endometrial-like tissue grows on or around the ovaries and responds to hormonal changes during the menstrual cycle by bleeding. Over time, this trapped blood becomes oxidized, forming a thick, dark fluid that gives these cysts their characteristic appearance.

Endometriosis is often associated with pelvic pain, inflammation, and increased menstrual sensitivity. These symptoms can make menstrual care more challenging and increase the importance of gentle, breathable, and low-irritation materials during menstruation.

Awenda uses organic bamboo fibers designed for breathability, softness, and absorbency, helping support moisture control throughout the menstrual cycle. Its non-bleached structure avoids chlorine-based whitening processes as well as other harsh chemical treatments such as optical brighteners, synthetic dyes, and aggressive chemical finishing agents commonly used in fiber processing.

Awenda is designed with a skin-friendly material approach that prioritizes hygiene, comfort, and everyday menstrual care, including for individuals experiencing conditions such as endometriomas.
